Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Caracalla facing right, rendered in bold high relief with pronounced curling hair and short beard characteristic of the emperor's mature portraiture. The effigy displays strong, individualistic facial features consistent with official Severan dynastic iconography. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust within a beaded border, reading ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ Μ ΑΥΡ ΑΝΤΩΝΕΙΝΟϹ ϹΕΒ, identifying the emperor by his full titulature. The drapery over the left shoulder is visible at the bust truncation. The overall style reflects the provincial engraving tradition of Mesopotamia.
