| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Caracalla facing right, presented in three-quarter frontal view; the cuirass is adorned with an aegis and a gorgoneion at the chest, rendered in the provincial Greek style characteristic of Mesopotamian mints. The imperial effigy conveys a martial character consistent with Caracalla's iconographic program. The encircling Greek legend identifies the emperor by his official titulature. |

| Reverse description | Eagle displayed facing, wings spread wide, with head turned to the right and tail feathers also directed right; the eagle holds a wreath in its beak, a common symbol of imperial victory and divine favor in provincial coinage. Between the eagle's legs appears a small shrine or naiskos with a pediment, likely representing a local cult sanctuary associated with Edessa. The reverse legend, disposed in the field, records Caracalla's tribunician and consular titles. The composition is typical of the Eastern provincial eagle-type reverses produced under the Severan dynasty. |
