Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Caracalla facing right, rendered in the provincial style characteristic of Mesopotamian civic coinage. The effigy displays a radiate laurel wreath atop the imperial portrait, with paludamentum visible at the left shoulder. A circular Greek legend surrounds the bust within a plain border, identifying the emperor by his imperial titulature. The die work reflects the robust, somewhat stylized engraving typical of the Rhesaena mint during the Severan period.
