Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Macrinus facing right, rendered in three-quarter view from the front, with a short beard rendered in fine detail. The effigy displays a radiate laurel wreath atop the head, paludamentum over the left shoulder, and segmented cuirass visible at the shoulder. The encircling Greek legend reads ΑΥΤ Κ Μ ΟΠ ϹΕ ΜΑΚΡΙΝΟϹ ϹΕ in the field around the portrait, typical of the provincial coinage style of Carrhae.
