Obverse description Laureate head of the emperor Hadrian facing right, with drapery visible on the left shoulder. A crescent symbol appears to the right of the portrait in the field. The legend encircles the bust, reading ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ ΤΡΑΙ - ΑΔΡΙΑ ϹΕΒ, rendered in Greek script and abbreviating his imperial titulature. The portrait is executed in the provincial style characteristic of Alexandrian coinage, with a slightly coarser rendering than metropolitan Roman issues.
