| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Emperor Domitian facing right, depicted with characteristic strong features of the Flavian dynastic style. The imperial effigy is rendered in high relief with a laurel wreath crowning the head. The surrounding Greek legend reads ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙΣΑΡ ΔΟΜΙΤΙΑΝΟΣ ΣΕΒ ΓΕΡΜ, identifying the emperor by his titles of Augustus and Germanicus in the Alexandrian Greek formulaic tradition. |
