The emperor's youthful bearded effigy is rendered with fine detail, his laurel wreath clearly delineated. The encircling Greek legend reads ΑΥΤ Κ Μ ΑΥ ΑΝΤΩΝΕΙΝΟϹ ϹΕΒ, identifying him as Autocrator Caesar Marcus Aurelius Antoninus Augustus. |
