| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Macrinus facing right, seen from the front, with a short beard rendered in dotted style characteristic of his portraiture. The radiate crown displays clearly defined spikes. The cuirass is decorated with relief ornament, and the paludamentum is visible over the left shoulder. The encircling Greek legend reads ΑΥΤ Κ Μ ΟΠ ϹΕ ΜΑΚΡΙΝΟϹ ϹΕ, identifying the emperor with his imperial titulature. |
