Obverse description Bare-headed, laureate bust of Emperor Claudius facing right, with draped shoulders, rendered in the Hellenistic portrait tradition characteristic of the Alexandrian mint. The legend encircles the effigy in Greek characters, reading the emperor's titulature. The regnal year L Β (Year 2) appears in the field. The die work displays the bold, slightly provincial style typical of early Claudian issues from Alexandria.

Reverse description Bare-headed draped bust of Antonia Minor facing right, her hair arranged in the characteristic Julio-Claudian style with waves drawn back and coiled at the nape. The portrait is rendered with sensitivity befitting the posthumous honorific context, Antonia having been deified under Claudius. The Greek legend ΑΝΤΩΝΙΑ ΣΕΒΑΣΤΗ, identifying her as Augusta, encircles the effigy within a dotted border, consistent with the Alexandrian tetradrachm series of regnal year 2.
