| Beschrijving keerzijde | The Agathodaemon serpent rears erect facing right, its body coiled below, crowned with the double Egyptian crown (skhent), and entwining a caduceus and a stalk of grain (corn). This syncretic deity, combining Greco-Roman and Egyptian religious iconography, was among the most emblematic reverse types of Alexandrian coinage. The regnal date L ΙΔ (Year 14) appears in the field. |
