Obverse description Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Trajan facing right, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style. The laureate wreath is rendered in fine detail atop the imperial portrait. The Greek legend encircles the effigy within a beaded border, conferring full imperial titulature. The portrait displays the characteristic strong jaw and prominent nose associated with Trajanic portraiture.
