Reverse description Tyche, wearing the kalathos (polos) on her head, reclines to the left upon an ornate couch or kline, her right hand resting upon a large rudder that rises behind her, symbolising Alexandria's role as a great maritime city. Additional attributes, possibly a cornucopia or similar emblems, appear in the lower field, consistent with Alexandrian civic iconography. The regnal year date L Γ (Year 3) appears in the field. The composition is framed by a beaded border, characteristic of Alexandrian billon tetradrachms of the Antonine period.
