正面描述	Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with drapery visible on the left shoulder, rendered in the characteristic Alexandrian provincial style. A crescent symbol appears to the right of the portrait in the field. The encircling Greek legend reads ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ ΤΡΑΙ - ΑΔΡΙΑ ϹΕΒ, abbreviated titulature identifying the emperor as Autocrator Caesar Trajanus Hadrianus Sebastos. The flan is irregular and slightly porous, consistent with Alexandrian silver tetradrachm fabric of the period.

Hadrian visited Egypt in 130 AD, slightly later than this piece was struck, but his philhellenic administrative reforms were already being felt in the province by 123.
