The three-headed guardian dog Cerberus is positioned to the lower left, serving as a reference to Sarapis's chthonic associations. The regnal year date L Β (Year 2, corresponding to 117–118 AD) appears in the left field, a hallmark of Alexandrian coinage dating practice. |
