Obverse description Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, viewed from the front, rendered in the Alexandrian provincial style. The portrait displays fine engraving of the laurel wreath and drapery folds over the cuirass. A Greek imperial legend encircles the bust within a beaded border, identifying the emperor by his full titulature.
