Obverse description Laureate draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with drapery visible on the left shoulder. The effigy displays the characteristic short beard of Hadrian rendered in fine detail. The surrounding Greek legend reads ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ ΤΡΑΙ - ΑΔΡΙΑ ϹΕΒ, identifying the emperor as Autocrator Caesar Trajanus Hadrianus Sebastos. The portrait is executed in the Alexandrian provincial style, with bold, slightly stylised facial features typical of the early Hadrianic coinage of Egypt.
