Obverse description Laureate bust of Hadrian facing right, with drapery visible on the far shoulder, rendered in the Hellenistic-Roman provincial style characteristic of the Alexandrian mint. The effigy displays the emperor's characteristic curly hair and beard beneath a laurel wreath. A Greek imperial titulature legend surrounds the bust along the periphery of the flan. The strike is somewhat irregular, consistent with hammered provincial coinage of the early Hadrianic period.
