| Obverse description | Laureate bust of Emperor Hadrian facing left, draped at the shoulder, rendered in the Alexandrian provincial style. The emperor's characteristic facial features — broad forehead, short beard, and close-cropped hair beneath the laurel wreath — are visible despite significant surface wear. The surrounding Greek legend reads ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙϹ ΤΡΑ ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟϹ ϹΕΒ, identifying Hadrian as Autocrator, Caesar, Trajan's heir, and Augustus. The flan is irregular and the coin exhibits corrosion and patination consistent with an ancient silver piece long in the earth. |
