The effigy is rendered in the typical Alexandrian provincial style, with finely detailed laurel wreath. The obverse legend runs clockwise around the periphery in Greek characters, identifying the emperor by his full titulature.

Descrizione del rovescio	Eagle standing to the right, head turned back to the left, wings closed, rendered in the characteristic style of Alexandrian coinage. The regnal year date L Β (year 2, corresponding to 117–118 AD) is inscribed in the field, with L to the left and Β to the right of the eagle. The reverse field is otherwise plain, with the eagle occupying the central design.
