She extends her right hand forward holding a long rudder, a symbol of Alexandria's maritime supremacy and the city's role as a great harbour. The date regnal year mark L Κ (Year 20, corresponding to 135–136 AD) appears in the upper left field. The lectisternium is depicted with dotted borders emphasizing its ornamental structure. |
