| 正面描述 | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Hadrian facing right, with drapery visible on the left shoulder; a crescent symbol appears to the right of the portrait in the field. The surrounding Greek legend reads ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ ΤΡΑΙ ΑΔΡΙΑ ϹΕΒ, identifying the emperor as Autocrator Caesar Traianus Hadrianus Sebastos. The portrait is rendered in the characteristic Alexandrian style, with careful attention to the emperor's features and laurel wreath. |

Year 8 of Hadrian's reign fell during his first great tour of the empire, though he would not reach Egypt until 130–131 AD. Alexandrian billon tetradrachms of this period were struck under the authority of the Roman prefect of Egypt, not the emperor directly — a monetary arrangement unique to the province, which maintained its own closed currency system forcing visitors to exchange Roman coin at the border.
The Köln and Dattari references for this type show die linkages consistent with a concentrated production run rather than sustained output across the regnal year.
