Triptolemus holds grain stalks or a torch in his extended hand, consistent with his mythological role as the spreader of agriculture. A spoked wheel of the chariot is visible beneath the figure. The regnal date legend L ΚΑ (year 21) appears in the field. The reverse type references the strong Eleusinian cult traditions maintained within the Alexandrian religious milieu. |
