Reverse description The Canopus of Osiris, depicted as a distinctive ovoid jar with a human head at the top surmounted by a modius or floral crown, facing right and centered in the field. The vessel, which serves as a cult image of Osiris-Canopus, features a draped lower body tapering to a rounded base. This characteristically Alexandrian religious type reflects the syncretic Greco-Egyptian religious culture of the mint city. The regnal date legend L Β (Year 2) flanks the figure on either side in the field.
