The effigy is presented with finely articulated drapery folds about the shoulders. The Greek legend ΙΟΥΛ ΜΑΙϹΑ ϹΕΒ ΜΗΤ ϹΤΡΑ runs around the periphery, identifying her as Augusta and mother of the strategos.
