Reverse description Nike, the winged goddess of victory, advancing or standing to the left upon a globe, holding a wreath in her extended right hand and a long palm-branch in her left. The figure is rendered in flowing robes with wings spread, a common type on Alexandrian tetradrachms celebrating imperial victory. The regnal date L ΚΑ (Year 21, corresponding to 157–158 AD) appears in the field, a characteristic feature of Alexandrian coinage used to date issues by the emperor's regnal year. The reverse shows typical Alexandrian provincial workmanship with the design set within an irregularly shaped flan.
