Reverse description Veiled and draped bust of the deified Faustina I (Faustina Senior) facing left, with long veil falling in parallel folds over the shoulder and elaborate coiffure visible beneath. The legend ΦΑΥϹΤΙΝΑ ΘΕΑ flanks the bust, identifying her as a goddess following her deification upon death in 140/141 AD. The regnal year date L Ε (year 5, corresponding to 141–142 AD) appears in the lower field. The rendering is characteristic of Alexandrian provincial coinage commemorating the imperial cult.
