| Obverse description | Draped bust of Faustina II facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and bound, rendered in the distinctive Alexandrian provincial style. The empress is depicted with a diademed and waved hairstyle, her garment visible across the shoulder. The encircling Greek legend ΦΑΥϹΤΙΝΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ identifies her as Augusta. The portrait displays the characteristic workmanship of the Alexandrian mint, with broad facial features and bold drapery folds. |
