Obverse description Draped bust of Faustina II facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and bound, rendered in the distinctive Alexandrian provincial style. The empress is depicted with a diademed and waved hairstyle, her garment visible across the shoulder. The encircling Greek legend ΦΑΥϹΤΙΝΑ ϹΕΒΑϹΤΗ identifies her as Augusta. The portrait displays the characteristic workmanship of the Alexandrian mint, with broad facial features and bold drapery folds.

Reverse description Nike, the winged goddess of victory, striding left in flowing robes, her large wings spread behind her. In her extended right hand she raises a victor's wreath, while her left arm carries a long palm-branch diagonally across her body. The regnal date legend L ΚΑ (Year 21, corresponding to 157–158 AD of the reign of Antoninus Pius) appears in the left field. The figure is rendered in the bold, somewhat schematic style typical of Alexandrian billon tetradrachms of the Antonine period.
