| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of Marcus Aurelius as Caesar, facing right, with short curly beard and draped shoulders, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style. The legend Μ ΑΥΡΗΛΙϹ ΚΑΙϹΑΡ runs around the periphery in Greek script. The portrait displays the characteristic youthful features of Aurelius prior to his accession, with tightly curled hair rendered in relief.
