| Reverse description | Athena seated left on a high-backed throne, her body draped, extending her right hand to present a small Nike bearing a wreath, while her left hand rests on a long sceptre. A large round shield leans against the side of the throne at lower right. The date regnal legend L Ε (Year 5) appears to the left field, corresponding to the fifth year of Severus Alexander's reign in the Alexandrian calendar (225–226 AD). The composition follows the standard Alexandrian reverse typology, with Athena as a symbol of imperial wisdom and martial virtue. |
