Obverse description Draped bust of Empress Orbiana facing right, her hair elaborately waved and drawn back in the Severan fashion, rendered in fine relief against a plain field. The effigy shows the empress in imperial robes with visible drapery at the shoulder. The Greek legend ΓΝϹΕΙ ΕΡΕ ϹΑΛΛ ΒΑΡΒ ΟΡΒΙΑΝΗ runs around the periphery, giving her full titulature as Augusta and wife of Severus Alexander.
