Reverse description Zeus Olympios enthroned to the left upon an ornate throne, his draped figure rendered in the Hellenistic tradition. In his extended right hand he holds a patera, while his left hand rests upon a long vertical sceptre. At his feet to the left stands an eagle with head turned back in the characteristic Alexandrian pose. Behind the throne, a tall palm branch rises vertically, symbolising victory and divine favour. The regnal date legend L ΙΒ (Year 12) appears in the field, confirming the coin's attribution to the twelfth regnal year of Severus Alexander.
