Reverse description An eagle, the emblematic type of Alexandrian tetradrachms, stands to the left upon a low podium or ground line, with its head turned back to the right and holding a wreath in its beak. The wings are folded against the body, and the detailed feathering of the breast and tail is rendered with characteristic Alexandrian craftsmanship. The date formula, expressed as L (regnal year symbol) to the left and Γ (numeral 3) to the right, flanks the eagle in the field. A rope border encloses the entire design.
