背面描述	The god Nilus personified reclines to the left, his mature, bearded figure adorned with a distinctive lotus-flower wreath upon his head. His left arm rests upon the head of a hippopotamus emerging at lower left, a hallmark attribute of Nilotic imagery in Alexandrian coinage. In his right hand he holds a reed, while his left hand grasps a cornucopia (horn of plenty), symbolising the river's agricultural abundance. The regnal date legend L Γ (Year 3) appears in the field, dating the issue to the third year of Maximinus I's reign.

附加信息	Maximinus Thrax never visited Egypt. His reign was administered from a distance, and the Alexandrian mint continued issuing tetradrachms in his name largely as a formality of imperial acknowledgment — the province's coinage cycle running on its own bureaucratic rhythm regardless of who held power in Rome. This piece dates to his second regnal year, the L Γ designation confirming year three of his reign by the Egyptian calendar reckoning from his accession in 235 AD. He was dead within three years, killed by his own troops outside Aquileia in 238.
