| Obverse description | Laureate head of Lucius Verus facing right, with traces of drapery visible at the shoulder. The portrait is rendered in the typical Alexandrian provincial style, with the laurel wreath denoting imperial status. The Greek legend Λ ΑΥΡΗΛΙΟϹ ΟΥΗΡΟϹ ϹΕΒ runs around the periphery of the flan. The coin shows characteristic high-relief portraiture as seen on Alexandrian tetradrachms of this period. The flan is irregular, consistent with hammered billon coinage of Roman Egypt. |

| Reverse description | Draped bust of the river god Nilus facing right, crowned with a taenia and lotus buds, symbolizing the fertile Nile. A cornucopia rests at the shoulder, representing abundance, while a reed appears before the bust, a characteristic attribute of Nilus iconography in Alexandrian coinage. The regnal year inscription L Ϛ (Year 6) appears in the field, corresponding to the sixth year of the joint reign of Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus (165–166 AD). The reverse design follows the well-established typology of Nilus representations on Roman Alexandrian tetradrachms. |
