Reverse description Nilus, the personification of the River Nile, seated left on rocks, his body draped in flowing robes. He holds a long reed stalk in his right hand and a cornucopia in his left arm, emblems of the river's fertility and abundance. A crocodile, symbol of the Nile, is depicted to the right beneath or beside the seated figure. The regnal year inscription L Κ (Year 20) appears in the left field, dating the coin to the 20th year of Hadrian's reign (135–136 AD).
