| 表面の説明 | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gordian III facing right, depicted from behind so that the rear of the cuirass is prominently visible, a characteristic convention of Alexandrian tetradrachm portraiture. The emperor's youthful effigy displays close-cropped hair beneath the laurel wreath, with paludamentum (military cloak) visible at the shoulder. The encircling Greek imperial legend reads Α Κ Μ ΑΝΤ ΓΟΡΔΙΑΝΟϹ ΕΥ, abbreviated from the full titulature Αὐτοκράτωρ Καῖσαρ Μᾶρκος Ἀντώνιος Γορδιανὸς Εὐσεβής Εὐτυχής Σεβαστός. |
