Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Gallienus facing right, seen from the front, with paludamentum visible at the shoulder. The imperial effigy displays careful modelling of the facial features characteristic of Alexandrian provincial coinage. The encircling Greek legend reads in large letters around the bust.

Reverse description Nike, the winged goddess of victory, advancing briskly to the right across the full reverse field, her wings spread behind her. She holds a wreath extended forward in both hands and bears a tall palm frond over her left shoulder, symbols of military triumph. The regnal year legend L ΙΔ (year 14, corresponding to 266–267 AD) appears in the left and right fields flanking the figure.
