| Beschrijving voorzijde | Laureate bust of Antoninus Pius facing left, with traces of drapery visible at the shoulder. The portrait is rendered in the characteristic provincial Alexandrian style, with a boldly modelled laureate wreath encircling the head. The circumferential legend in Greek reads ΑΝΤΩΝΙΝΟϹ ϹΕΒ ΕΥϹΕΒ, identifying the emperor with his epithet Eusebés (Pious). The flan is slightly irregular, consistent with Alexandrian tetradrachm production of the period. |
