| Reverse description | Draped bust of the god Sarapis facing right, wearing his distinctive stepped kalathos (modius) surmounted by a taenia and adorned with decorative elements. The god is depicted with a full, wavy beard and elaborately rendered curling hair, characteristic of the Alexandrian Sarapic iconographic tradition. The regnal year date L Κ (Year 20) is divided in the field to left and right of the bust, indicating the twentieth year of Antoninus Pius's reign (156-157 AD). The reverse field is largely plain, with a dotted border visible at the rim. |
