| Obverse description | Laureate, cuirassed and paludamentum-draped bust of Emperor Antoninus Pius facing right, seen from the rear, presenting a three-quarter rear view. The imperial titulature legend ΑΝΤωΝΙΝΟϹ ϹΕΒ ΕΥϹΕΒ (Antoninus Sebastos Eusebes) encircles the effigy in Greek characters. The portrait conveys the characteristic mature physiognomy of Antoninus Pius as rendered in Alexandrian provincial coinage. |

To the left, a male figure dressed in tunic, cloak, and trousers stands facing right, extending a crown toward the emperor and holding a sceptre; the scene evokes a submission or investiture ceremony. The regnal year date L Κ (Year 20, corresponding to 156–157 AD) appears in the field. The composition follows the formulaic provincial ceremonial type common to Alexandrian tetradrachms of this reign. |
