Obverse description Draped bust of Faustina II facing right, her hair elaborately waved and coiled at the nape in the Alexandrian style. The portrait displays refined provincial craftsmanship, with the drapery rendered in flowing folds over the shoulder. The Greek legend encircles the bust within a beaded border, identifying her as the Augusta and daughter of the pious emperor.

Reverse description Asclepius, the god of medicine, depicted standing facing with head turned to the left. In his right hand he holds a patera extended over a lighted altar, while his left hand grasps the serpent-entwined staff (caduceus-staff of Asclepius). The regnal year date appears in the field as the sole legend, marking this issue to the fifteenth year of Antoninus Pius's reign.
