Obverse description Laureate bust of Antoninus Pius, draped in paludamentum and cuirass, facing right and viewed from behind, with the folds of the cloak visible across the shoulder. The emperor's effigy is rendered in the characteristic Alexandrian provincial style, with bold relief typical of mid-second century tetradrachms. The Greek legend ΑΝΤωΝΕΙΝΟϹ ϹΕΒ ΕΥϹΕΒ (Antoninus Augustus Pius) is disposed around the periphery of the field.
