AR22 - Valerian and Gallienus L Γ

正面描述	Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Gallienus facing right, viewed from the front, with the emperor depicted bearded and wearing scale armour. The obverse legend, partially visible around the periphery, reads in Greek characters. The portrait is rendered in the provincial Roman style characteristic of Alexandrian tetradrachm coinage of the mid-third century AD.

背面描述	Nike, the winged goddess of victory, standing facing with head turned to the left, her large spread wings visible behind her. She holds a wreath aloft in her right hand and a tall palm branch in her left hand, her drapery falling in folds about her figure. To the left field appears the regnal year date rendered as L Γ (year 3), consistent with the third year of the joint reign of Valerian and Gallienus in the Alexandrian calendar.
