Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Aurelian facing right, viewed from the front, with the portrait rendered in the characteristic Alexandrian provincial style. The emperor wears a radiate laurel wreath and segmented cuirass. The encircling Greek legend reads Α Κ Λ ΔΟΜ ΑΥΡΗΛΙΑΝΟϹ ϹΕΒ, identifying the emperor with his abbreviated titulature. The portrait displays bold, slightly crude workmanship typical of the Alexandrian mint in the late third century AD.

Reverse description Nike, the winged goddess of victory, advancing briskly to the right, her wings spread behind her. She holds a wreath extended in her right hand and a long palm branch in her left, both attributes emblematic of military triumph. The figure is rendered with flowing drapery and dynamic movement, consistent with Alexandrian tetradrachm reverse types of the period. The Greek dating legend ΕΤΟΥϹ Ε, denoting regnal year 5 of Aurelian, is distributed in the field.
