| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Emperor Probus facing right, presented frontally with the head turned in three-quarter view, the paludamentum fastened at the right shoulder. The imperial effigy displays a radiate crown in some variants, here shown with laurel wreath, and the cuirass is rendered with fine detail. The encircling Greek legend reads Α Κ Μ ΑΥΡ ΠΡΟΒΟϹ ϹΕΒ, identifying the emperor by his imperial titulature. |
