| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Constantius I facing right, seen from the front, rendered in the characteristic Alexandrian provincial style. The emperor's effigy displays a radiate laurel wreath and layered military drapery over the cuirass. The encircling Greek legend reads ΦΛΑ ΚωΝϹΤΑΝΤΙΟϹ Κ, identifying the Caesar Flavius Constantius. The flan is irregular and slightly scalloped at the edge, typical of late Tetrarchic Egyptian billon tetradrachms. |
