Reverse description An eagle stands facing right, wings spread, head turned back to the left; a tall palm branch rises behind it to the right. The date regnal formula L Η (Year 8) appears in the field, corresponding to the eighth regnal year of Diocletian's Egyptian era. The composition fills the flan with the bold, simplified style characteristic of late Alexandrian potin tetradrachms, set within a beaded border.
