Reverse description The personification of Elpis (Hope) advancing to the left, rendered in the traditional Alexandrian iconographic convention. She holds a flower in her right hand while her left hand gathers and raises the hem of her garment. A palm branch is depicted to the left of the figure, symbolizing victory and longevity, while a star appears to the right in the field. The regnal year date appears in the exergual area as the Greek letter delta (year 4), consistent with Diocletianic Egyptian dating.
