| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Galerius Maximianus as Caesar facing right, rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style. The portrait displays the subject in three-quarter frontal view, with the laureate wreath and military cuirass clearly articulated. The circular Greek legend ΓΑΛ ΜΑΞΙΜΙΑΝΟϹ Κ runs around the periphery of the flan, identifying the Caesar. The coin exhibits the characteristically irregular flan shape and somewhat coarse engraving typical of late third-century Alexandrian tetradrachm-series billon coinage. |

The composition is characteristic of late Tetrarchic Alexandrian provincial coinage, with the regnal year notation appearing in the field. The surface retains extensive green patination with copper highlights consistent with billon coinage of this period. |
